DAS FEST at Theater im Delphi
DAS FEST at Theater im Delphi
After the remarkable online success of the eponymous film during the Corona winter of 2021, laborgras and ensemble CONTINUUM are now bringing “DAS FEST” as a festive gathering to the stage: Baroque music and contemporary dance come together for one evening of exceptional acoustic and visual impressions.
The notion of DAS FEST, of festivity, implies a gathering of many different people who are welcomed into an atmosphere completely unlike their usual day-to-day. Festivity is also always staged. It has its own dynamics, dramaturgy and choreography. And it therefore requires space, time and co-presence. laborgras proposes DAS FEST as a meeting of baroque music and contemporary dance. Dancers and musicians are host to a new interpretation of the selected compositions, in the here and now. The festive music is translated into a choreographic concert and the audience is invited to an evening full of surprising impressions revealing a new bodily form of the early music.
