Practicing Efficiency in Motion

While we rehearse at Kulturbühne AMBACH in Götzis for the Austrian premiere of “A Masque for the Multiverse”, we’re opening our morning training to anyone who’d like to start the day moving together with us.

How much effort does a movement really need – and what becomes possible when we don’t force it?
This morning training invites participants to explore an efficiency that comes from a comprehensive understanding of the body: its structure, its weight and its relationship to the floor and to space. We begin on the floor with anatomically based exercises, then carry the underlying principles into standing work and choreographic material, working with weight, falling and momentum, and guiding movement through an articulated body into space.
